Outdoor Dining & Amenity Stucco in Alpharetta
Patios drive business for Alpharetta restaurants, and outdoor kitchens and pool cabanas help apartment communities lease. We build and repair the stucco walls, bar fronts and grill stations behind them so they hold up to rain, heat and daily use.

An outdoor bar is an exterior wall that works hard
Outdoor dining is part of how Alpharetta eats, from patios in the downtown core to rooftop and courtyard seating in mixed-use districts. Apartment communities compete on amenity space too: grill stations, outdoor kitchens and pool cabanas finished in stucco to match the buildings. All of these structures take rain on the top, splash from the slab, grease and cleaning chemicals, and heat from grills and the Georgia sun.
Most of the failures we see come from building them like interior cabinets. Flat countertops let water sit at the stucco edge, there is no break between the counter and the wall face, the base sits tight on the slab with no way to drain, and grill and appliance cutouts are left unsealed. The stucco cracks at the corners, stains below the counter and lets go around the openings.
We build these structures on proper substrate with a weather barrier, lath and weep at the base, overhang counters so water drips clear, and flash and seal every cutout. On repair work we correct the details that failed and match the finish to the surrounding restaurant or community buildings.

Outdoor dining & amenity stucco in Alpharetta
From a single grill station on a pool deck to a full restaurant patio, the same rules apply: a sound base, a drained bottom edge and a finish that matches the building.
Restaurant patio walls
Perimeter and screen walls that enclose outdoor dining, capped and finished to match the restaurant facade.
Bar fronts & counters
Outdoor bar bases built square and level, ready for the countertop your fabricator sets.
Grill stations & outdoor kitchens
Block or framed bases at amenity decks and courtyards with cut-outs sized for the specified equipment.
Pool cabanas & amenity buildings
Stucco on cabanas, pool restrooms and pavilions at apartment and condominium communities.
Refinishing existing features
Faded or patched walls and bar fronts with sound bases get a new finish coat in the selected color.
Cracked & stained bases
Cracks, loose stucco and stained bottoms repaired at the cause, often water wicking up from the slab.
Picking the right base for the space
Concrete block is the most durable base for an outdoor bar or grill station. It does not rot, it takes stucco directly, and it handles the heat around commercial grills. It is heavy, so it needs a slab or footing that can carry it, which matters on elevated amenity decks.
A framed base with cement board is lighter and easier to shape, which helps with curved bars, long runs and decks with weight limits. If the frame is combustible, grills must be installed with the insulated jacket or clearances their manufacturer requires, and we plan the openings around that from the start. Load limits on decks and podiums are confirmed by the owner’s engineer or design team.
For existing features, refinishing is often the simplest option when the base is sound. We check before we quote and tell you if a crack or stain points to a problem a new coat would only cover.

Building around guests and residents
We schedule around service hours and pool seasons, and around the licensed trades, so gas, plumbing and power rough-ins are in place before a base is closed up.
Plan & lay out
We review the plans, confirm equipment cut-outs and clearances, and mark where licensed trades need to bring utilities.
- Equipment specs reviewed
- Slab & drainage checked
- Written, itemized scope
Build the base
Block is laid or the frame is built and sheathed in cement board, with openings framed for grills, refrigeration and doors.
- Square, level base
- Openings framed to spec
- Work area fenced off
Stucco & finish
Base and finish coats are applied and cured, the bottom edge is detailed to shed water, and the color is matched to the building.
- Coats cured properly
- Drip edge at the slab
- Color & texture matched
Planning a patio or amenity upgrade?
Bring us in early. A base planned around the equipment and the deck costs less than one rebuilt later.
Patio season is long in Alpharetta
Mild springs and falls keep Alpharetta patios and amenity decks busy for much of the year, which leaves short windows for repair work.
Restaurants downtown and around Avalon and North Point lean on outdoor seating, and amenity areas at apartment communities across the city see heavy use from spring through fall. We schedule outdoor work around service and resident use, working early, in sections or in the slower months so patios and pool decks are not closed longer than necessary.
Grill & bar stations
Cutouts flashed and sealed, counters overhung so water drips clear.
Pool cabanas
Stucco structures built to handle sun, splash and pool chemicals.
Patio walls
Screen and seat walls finished to match the restaurant or building.
